Retail Sales Manager

Manage a store that moves around the world.

Starboard is a wholly-owned subsidiary of LMVH (Moet Hennessey - Louis Vuitton). Starboard is the world's largest and leading duty free retailer operating onboard over 80 cruise ships worldwide. 

The boutiques onboard sell a variety of products including cosmetics, perfumes, duty free items such as tobacco and alcohol. In addition is the sale of souvenirs, clothing etc. Applicants should be well groomed, bright, outgoing and sales driven. A proven background in achieveing sales targets is important.

In addition analyzing sales and inventory reports, the retail sales manager will be in carge of motivating and coaching a sales team to help them acheive and exceed the sales goals established by Starboards corporate team. The manager will train staff on product knowledge, selling techniques, safety procedures, proper operation of POS systems, proper reporting of potential loss, and on customer service skills. 

Successful candidates will have 3-5 years retail management experience

Relevant experience in an organization where they successfully managed a team of 7 or more direct reports

Manage a retail operation that generated at least $2M in sales annually

Strong PC skills

Degree preferredor equivalent experience.

This position has the following requirements that must be met by all applicants:
