General Technician Ship wide
Main Duties • Daily use of wireless microphones, including frequency tuning, power management and signal path • Live audio mixing with digital audio consoles • Equipment set-ups and handling heavy equipment & road cases • Lighting console operation for intelligent and conventional fixtures • Maintenance of Entertainment technical systems, including lighting and audio, video and projection systems Job Responsibilities • Open venues, install, set-up, operate and strike assigned ship wide and island events and activities (i.e. games shows and theme nights, band/duo/Cabaret performances, Adult/Family events, deck movies, dining room events, Youth programs, Guest speakers, shopping talk, deck parties/events, atrium activities, weddings, group/conference and concierge functions, etc.) • Responsible for operational and maintenance duties as scheduled; Duties include setting up/ striking activities, operating audio, lighting, A/V, and other equipment • Provide feedback of equipment challenges and any issues relating to consumable items to ensure good stock control • Provide support services as scheduled, to Marketing, Groups, Crew functions, and special events • Carry out all other duties and tasks assigned by the shipboard leadership team, including but not limited to safety duties and duties in support of other technical areas • Preventative maintenance and routine repair of all ship wide equipment • Maintain cleanliness of appropriate ship wide booths and lockers • Assist with rain plans, as necessary • Manage sound/mic checks for ship wide venues or Entertainment Host/Cruise Staff, Main Stage performer, and/or Musicians Equipment Specs • Whole Hog lighting consoles (RBD/Wavebands, Deck stage) • Yamaha M7CL or DM2000 (RBD/Wavebands, Deck stage) • AMX control systems (All aux venues) • Media Matrix Audio Control Systems(RBD/Wavebands, Animator's, Studio Sea, Deck stage) • Fire One pyro firing system (Deck stage) • Cyberlight and Martin intelligent lighting fixtures (Deck stage) • Sony BRC300 PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) remote cameras (RBD/Wavebands, Studio Sea, Deck stage) Average Contract Length 4 months on/2 months off Minimum Hours Per Week 70 hours per week Berthing Shared - 1-3 roommates Travel DCL organizes and pays for travel Required Experience Minimum three years experience in a relevant Entertainment based environment Knowledge of computer systems or computerized control systems, preferred, including knowledge of DOS and Windows 3.1 operating systems Trade school/college diploma, preferred Self-motivated person, able to work with little supervision Must possess a valid Driver’s License
